How many of you have lower back pain? My guess is EVERYONE!! The reason we have lower back pain is that we have evolved poorly, so far. Eventually our bodies will adapt, and we'll be able to walk on two feet even though we should be on four. So, what's the problem?Firstly, take a look at your spine from a sideways view. It's crooked. It's way, way, way out crooked. It's in an S shape. The rest of your body has to take drastic measures to control your spine because it's designed for something that travels on all fours. We are about 100,000 years in the evolution of Homo Sapiens to even get to the stage of being as athletic as we are. But, even so, we all have lower back pain because we haven't fully evolved and our bodies aren't ready to stay upright for very long periods. There are some people who also have some genetic deficiencies that will be weeded out but there's a crap load of people who do have genetic and structural issues with their lower back that causes pain. I am one of them. |
I can hear you. What the hell is number 3? Google it yourself, but what it means to me is that in about 10 years I'll be in a wheelchair. I'm now doing everything in my capacity to delay the inevitable. So, what this means to you, is that I KNOW BACKS! If you have lower back pain then I can work with you to do everything humanly possible to stabilise your core and hip region and reduce your pain. Obviously, a team is required to fix lower back pain and your GP is the first point of call. I know several that will refer you to other specialists to identify what is the real issue with that pain. Once that's done, I can do everything a PT can do to strengthen your core and make you more stable and flexible to live your fullest life. |
